Transition date/caller fields not filled if user details not available

Hi David,
this is a bit of an extension of my other issue JMCF-130.
As I mentioned in the many comments we added, during indexing I have errors of JMCF plugin due to usernames that do not exist anymore in our ActiveDirectory. Although this is something I wish should not be done for history/legacy reasons, there unfortunately nothing I can do about it (IT management rules are company-wide...).

As a side effect of this, we have many issues where the only information we have on users in history is the username, but no display name (because it just does not exist anymore).
As a consequence, all "transition caller" field for these specific actions (transitions) are empty, and even the transition date field.

I believe that the plugin checks for history step caller, and stores the associated user item in the field. This is why it gets empty if you can't get a real user.
I was wondering if there is a way to store anyway the username in the field? Or at least to store the transition date, as long as there is a CALLER (even if no match with an existing user).
