The solution to this issue is only partial. The automatic transition triggered during the Create Issue transition will only take place 1 second after the Create transition runs. This means that if the newly created issue is displayed immediately, it will not reflect the new Status.
I'm trying to execute the "Transition issue" post function during the Create Issue transition. What I'd like to do is automatically transition an issue to the next state that naturally follows the initial state of the issue whenever the issue is created with a custom field having a certain value. However, I can't get this to work with the Create Issue transition. I've tried executing the post function at the beginning of the Create Issue post functions, at the end, and at various other positions in the order of the the post functions. I can successfully get the "Transition Issue" post function to work as part of another transition in my workflow, but I can't get it to work as part of the Create Issue transition. Can the "Transition issue" post function be executed with the Create Issue transition? If so, what extra requirements are there for making it work with the Create Issue transition?
